About Mirai and the Role

Mirai is seeking a Marketing Community Lead to establish and expand its presence in the MENA region. This full-time role, based in Riyadh, Riyadh Province, involves building the local Arabic community from the ground up and leading a team of junior moderators. The successful candidate will serve as a key cultural connector, ensuring Mirai’s global vision resonates authentically and meaningfully with Arabic speakers.

Key Responsibilities

The Marketing Community Lead will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive community strategies, leading a team of moderators, and ensuring a safe and engaging environment for Mirai's Arabic-speaking audience across various digital platforms.

Community Building and Engagement

• Launch and grow Mirai’s Arabic channels on platforms including Discord, Facebook, and other relevant social media.
• Adapt global brand messaging into authentic native Arabic, accounting for regional dialects and cultural nuances.
• Design and execute community-led initiatives, such as AMAs, local contests, and virtual events, to drive high retention rates.

Leadership and Moderation

• Recruit, onboard, and mentor junior community moderators, providing them with the necessary tools and guidance.
• Develop internal standard operating procedures and communication guidelines for the Arabic team.
• Set Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for junior staff and provide regular feedback to ensure a high standard of community support.
• Ensure all community interactions respect regional norms while adhering to Mirai’s global safety standards.
• Proactively manage community conflicts and serve as the lead for regional crisis communication.

Required Qualifications

• Language & Communication: Native-level fluency in Arabic and professional-level proficiency in English is mandatory. The ability to communicate effectively with a global team in English while managing the community in Arabic is essential.
• Cultural Literacy: Deep understanding of the MENA digital landscape, gaming/tech culture, and regional social etiquette.
• Leadership Experience: Minimum of 3+ years in a leadership or supervisory role, with a proven ability to train and manage junior employees or volunteers.
• Community Management Experience: 3–5 years of experience managing online communities on platforms such as Discord, Facebook, Telegram, and X.
• Technical Savvy: Expert-level knowledge of Discord server management, moderation bots, and social analytics tools.
