About Amazon and the Role

Amazon's Worldwide Operations network delivers millions of packages to customers daily. We are seeking an Operations Manager FC Operations to join our full-time team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role is integral to maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction and operational excellence within our fulfillment centers.

Role Overview

The Operations Manager is responsible for leading and developing a team of salaried and hourly associates. This involves engaging the team to uphold the highest levels of safety, quality, attendance, and performance during shifts. Managers provide necessary tools for success and drive productivity and efficiency improvements through data-driven decisions and analytical problem-solving. A key aspect of the role is ensuring customer orders are delivered accurately and on time. Amazon's operational workflow includes three main components: First mile (product housing), Middle mile (order hauling), and Last mile (product delivery to the customer).

Key Responsibilities

• Support, mentor, and motivate the salaried and hourly workforce.
• Lead large-scope projects with site and regional impact.
• Build and execute productivity plans through forecast reviews, determining productivity requirements, and partnering with other Leaders for load balancing.
• Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises.
• Collaborate with all support teams, including Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, and Human Resources, to develop plans meeting business objectives.
• Perform physical tasks including lifting up to 49 pounds and frequently pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, and reaching.

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of employee and performance management experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in performance metrics, process improvement, or lean techniques.
