The Opportunity: Planning & Scheduling Manager

Accenture Middle East is seeking a Planning & Scheduling Manager to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is a critical project controls leadership position focused on developing, managing, and maintaining robust program schedules for large-scale Data Centre projects. Candidates should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience in planning, scheduling, or project controls roles.

Role Overview

The Planning & Scheduling Manager will collaborate closely with project management, commercial, engineering, and construction teams. Key responsibilities include providing schedule leadership, conducting performance analysis, forecasting, and progress reporting to ensure successful program delivery. This role requires extensive Data Centre experience, gained from a PMC, construction consultancy, or client-side environment, along with a comprehensive understanding of program planning, controls, and reporting for complex capital projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead planning and scheduling activities for major Data Centre programs, from design through commissioning and handover.
• Develop, maintain, and manage integrated master schedules aligned with program objectives.
• Establish project controls and planning standards across multiple projects and workstreams.
• Monitor progress and schedule performance against approved baselines.
• Conduct schedule analysis, critical path assessments, and program risk evaluations.
• Provide accurate forecasting and scenario analysis to support client decision-making.
• Prepare executive-level reports, dashboards, and planning presentations for key stakeholders.
• Monitor and manage schedule changes, delays, and recovery plans.
• Coordinate planning activities with contractors, consultants, client teams, and project stakeholders.
• Lead schedule review meetings and program performance discussions.
• Support risk management activities through schedule risk identification and mitigation planning.
• Collaborate with commercial and project controls teams to align schedule and cost reporting.
• Mentor and develop planning engineers and junior project controls professionals.
• Drive continuous improvement in planning processes, systems, and reporting methodologies.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Proven experience in planning, scheduling, or project controls roles.
• Extensive experience supporting large-scale Data Centre projects, particularly hyperscale or mission-critical facilities.
• Expert user proficiency with Primavera P6 and advanced project controls tools.
• Demonstrated experience in developing and managing complex integrated master schedules.

Desired Attributes

• Professional accreditation with APM, PMI, PSP, AACE, or an equivalent certification.
• Previous project experience within the Middle East region.
