Role Overview

Tamara is seeking a Web Engineer II to join its team in Riyadh. This full-time role involves developing and enhancing frontend applications. The Web Engineer II will focus on building and maintaining sophisticated backend APIs and services, contributing to user engagement and supporting dynamic frontend and mobile applications, as well as comprehensive financing solutions. The position requires 2-5 years of experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and implement Agile methodologies, ensuring adherence to the Scrum framework, and mentor team members through the software development lifecycle.
• Collaborate with the Product team to understand requirements and translate them into functional frontend code.
• Partner with Backend, Mobile, and QA engineers to ensure seamless backend integration and functionality.
• Participate in Frontend Chapter meetings and initiatives, contributing to best practices and staying updated on technologies.
• Work with QA engineers to define test cases and support automated and manual testing processes.
• Lead and participate in code review sessions to maintain code quality and improve codebase architecture.
• Utilize CI/CD tools to automate testing and deployment processes for efficient releases.
• Lead daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint grooming, and retrospective meetings to monitor progress and drive improvements.
• Oversee and produce comprehensive documentation for development processes, architectural designs, and code changes.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Experience: 4+ years in Software Engineering, with a focus on Frontend development.
• Framework Knowledge: Familiarity with major Javascript frameworks; React JS experience is preferred.
• JavaScript Proficiency: Solid understanding of modern JavaScript features, including ES2023 updates, asynchronous programming, and concurrent rendering.
• Software Design: Experience in Software Development, Design, and Architecture, with an emphasis on security.
• Principles: Practical knowledge of OOP concepts and SOLID principles.
• Agile Practices: Experience with Pairing, TDD, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Delivery.
• Web Performance: Expertise in optimizing web performance and Web Vitals (*, Core Web Vitals), including metrics like TTFB, TTI, and FCP.
• Application Design: Experience in web application design and state management solutions.
• Testing: Experience with Unit and Integration testing.
• Security and Performance: Understanding of common security vulnerabilities and performance issues in web applications, and debugging skills.
• Customer Focus: Ability to build accessible applications with a strong user experience.
• Accessibility: Knowledge of web accessibility standards and best practices.
• Communication: Strong communication skills for effective interaction with multidisciplinary teams.
• Bonus: Knowledge of **** 15 and its latest features (*, improved server components, streaming, advanced static site generation).
