Role Overview

Scale AI is seeking an experienced Product Manager of AI Applications Global Public Sector to join its team in Riyadh. This full-time position involves leading the ideation and development of transformative AI solutions for government entities outside of the United States. The role requires an entrepreneurial product leader to drive significant AI projects and contribute to the company's growth in the public sector.

About Scale AI's Global Public Sector Team

The Global Public Sector team at Scale AI is responsible for generating, executing, and fostering the company's work with governments and government-backed entities internationally. The team develops bespoke solutions that leverage customer proprietary data and expertise to transform organizations with AI. These applications are powered by the Scale GenAI Platform, a full-stack product designed for building, testing, and deploying frontier AI systems. The team's work includes:

• Developing custom AI applications.
• Building custom Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Providing high-quality training data for research and government institutions building LLMs.
• Developing partnerships to foster regional talent growth and AI adoption.

Key Responsibilities

The Product Manager will lead large AI projects for one or multiple customers, guiding a cross-functional team to build impactful solutions. Core responsibilities include:

• Leading design workshops with clients to define custom AI solutions.
• Scoping new AI application use cases across various government entities.
• Leading cross-functional development of AI applications and custom LLMs with diverse stakeholders (Engineering, Operations, Go-to-Market).
• Engaging consistently with future end-users to solicit feedback and ensure effective prioritization.
• Staying informed about the latest research in applied AI and custom LLMs.
• Scoping model evaluation sets and performance requirements, reviewing results, and iterating on solutions.
• Providing regular progress updates to clients and International Public Sector leadership.

Required Qualifications

Candidates for this role typically possess 5-10 years of professional experience, demonstrating a strong foundation in product leadership and AI application development. Essential qualifications include:

• Deep experience with AI/ML application development.
• Ability to think strategically about problem-solving.
• Comfort with operational details and execution.
• Strong understanding of software engineering principles and practices.
• Strong interest in developing AI applications that deliver quantifiable impact.
• A mission-driven mindset with a commitment to continuous learning and rapid professional growth.

Preferred Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate will also bring additional skills and experiences, including:

• At least 4 years of experience building products, with specific experience within the last 1-2 years building AI-powered products.
• Coding experience (Python).
• Proficiency in Arabic, both written and spoken.
• A strong technical background (STEM degree) and/or experience building technical software products.
• A strong understanding of generative AI technologies and their applications in both enterprise and consumer settings.
• Experience with vibe coding tools (*, Replit, Lovable, Bolt) and design tools (*, Figma, Canva, Miro).
• Demonstrated leadership, presentation, and communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.

The Product Manager will lead a cross-functional team of engineers, Machine Learning Engineers (MLEs), and operators to build solutions that drive significant revenue for the business. The position is based in Riyadh and is a full-time commitment.
