About the Role

BYD Europe is seeking a Product Manager to support product localization activities for passenger car launches in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). This full-time position is based in Riyadh. The Product Manager will coordinate product requirements and manage critical processes throughout the full product lifecycle, ensuring timely vehicle launches across a selected portfolio.

Role Context

The Product Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D teams in KSA and China, to gather and translate market insights and regulatory requirements into actionable product specifications. This role requires a structured approach to problem-solving and a focus on automotive product excellence within a dynamic environment, emphasizing strong ownership and accountability.

Key Responsibilities

Manage an assigned passenger car portfolio, including competitor benchmarking, pricing strategy, product positioning, and value proposition, supporting localization requirements.
Coordinate and support vehicle launches, aligning with business objectives and go-to-market strategy.
Communicate product features, updates, and changes to internal stakeholders and external partners.
Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams and R&D across KSA and China to deliver product enhancements based on customer feedback and compliance.
Develop and maintain core product documentation, including Market Product Specification (MPC) sheets.
Maintain consistent communication with third-party automotive partners and suppliers.
Work with the Customer Experience team to identify opportunities for improving the customer journey and addressing product-related inquiries.
Identify and drive continuous product improvements based on customer feedback, market insights, and performance data.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the line manager, in alignment with business needs.

Qualifications and Requirements

Proven experience within the automotive industry, ideally in a product management or product planning role at OEM HQ, National Sales Company, or Distributor level. Exposure to electric vehicles is preferred.
Demonstrated ability to take ownership in a fast-growing, dynamic environment.
Analytical and data-driven mindset, with a structured and fact-based approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt quickly.
Clear written and verbal communication skills.
Familiarity with NEV technical and product elements, such as ADAS, emissions standards, or functional safety regulations.
Valid driver's license for passenger car.

This role operates in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, requiring close collaboration with cross-functional teams and R&D departments across KSA and China.
