About Bechtel Corporation and Expo 2030 Riyadh

Bechtel Corporation is managing the infrastructure program for Expo 2030 Riyadh, a global platform for collaboration under the theme “Foresight for Tomorrow.” This event, promoting sustainable development and innovation, will take place from October 2030 to March 2031 and is projected to attract over 40 million visits. The project involves a 6 km2 Masterplan for participation and infrastructure, including early works, utilities, and public spaces. Bechtel's scope will transition into a mixed-use legacy development after the six-month event. The project's master plan adheres to international sustainability standards for urban afforestation, treated water, and energy sources.

Role Overview

As a Project Accountant based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, you will provide professional financial and accounting support services at the jobsite. This full-time role requires a strong understanding of prime contracts and involves preparing monthly client invoices, managing accounts payable, and providing comprehensive reporting and ad hoc support to the project management team. You will also assist with monthly reviews, data validation, and reconciliations to ensure financial and accounting compliance, contributing to issue resolution and process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

Provide and assist with professional accounting support services.
Extract and perform preliminary analysis of technical data, and participate in preparing reports, charts, and studies related to financial or project accounting issues.
Collaborate with transactional groups, such as Accounts Payable and Receivables and Client Billings, to ensure project invoices are produced according to contractual terms.
Review the accounts payable on-hold report with procurement and work with vendors and the AP team to resolve issues promptly.
Assist with internal and external audit queries.
Support cross-functional work with project organizations to ensure the accuracy of financial information.

Required Experience

Candidates should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience in project accounting or a similar financial support role.

This is a full-time position located in Riyadh, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, supporting the Expo 2030 Riyadh project. The role involves working at the jobsite and collaborating closely with various project teams and external stakeholders.
