The Role

SYSTRA is seeking a QA/QC Specialist to join its team in Riyadh, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position requires 5-10 years of experience. The QA/QC Specialist will provide quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) support for assigned functional areas of a Rail/Metro project, ensuring adherence to client and contractual specifications. The specialist will report to the QA/QC Manager and collaborate regularly with representatives from program management, engineering, and construction teams.

Key Responsibilities

Stop work activities immediately if a serious breach of Health, Safety, or Environmental standards is identified.
Conduct audits to verify that plans and procedures are being followed, and that documentary evidence is produced and maintained (desirable, non-essential).
Coordinate with construction staff to plan necessary inspections and testing activities in advance.
Monitor works closely to ensure adherence to the Contractor's Project Quality Assurance and Quality Control Plans & Procedures by contractors, sub-contractors, and suppliers.
Maintain surveillance of DB Contractors' QC Inspectors and collaborate with them.
Conduct site visits for visual verification of procedure adherence, gather feedback from Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and progress meetings, and report concerns from the general workforce, supervisors, and management.
Ensure that As-Built Quality Records are produced in accordance with Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
Oversee ITP content and the required compilation of records referenced within, including material specifications, tolerances, standards, certification to compliance, traceability, and use in product realization.
Monitor applicable temperatures, timely sample taking, handling, curing, storage, and testing.
Verify the existence of authorized-for-use ITPs at the workplace before and during the start of work activities.
Ensure site QA/QC compliance through on-site surveillance or via QC Inspector reporting, including visual, feedback, and written reports.
Plan daily inspection activities and surveillances.

Experience and Qualifications

A minimum of 5-10 years of relevant experience in quality assurance and quality control.
Demonstrated ability to ensure compliance with contractual specifications and quality standards.
Experience in conducting audits and maintaining detailed documentation.
Strong understanding of ITPs and their application in project execution.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, within a dynamic project environment focused on rail and metro infrastructure. The role involves regular interaction with various functional groups, including program management, engineering, and construction teams.
