QAQC Engineer Civil

About the Role

Larsen & Toubro is seeking a QAQC Engineer Civil to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time position suitable for candidates with 0-1 years of experience. The role focuses on ensuring the effective implementation of Project Quality Plans (PQP) and maintaining compliance with customer requirements throughout project sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure effective implementation of the Project Quality Plan (PQP) at project sites and compliance with customer requirements.
• Plan and conduct various inspections at different project stages, obtain necessary approvals, and work to minimize reworks and time loss while improving efficiency.
• Study and implement approved PQPs, Inspection and Test Plans (ITP), checklists, drawings, method statements, material/equipment approvals, technical specifications, and standards relevant to the project.
• Conduct internal inspections prior to consultant/client inspections to ensure correctness according to project requirements.
• Perform material and equipment inspections upon receipt at sites to ensure compliance with Purchase Order (PO), approval, and specification requirements, and verify proper storage.
• Raise Material Inspection Requests (MIR) as required and obtain approval/clearance from the customer representative.
• Raise Requests for Inspections (RFI/IR) as needed and obtain approval/clearance from the customer representative for various works/activities at different stages on site, preparing corresponding inspection records.
• Supervise site activities to ensure the use of approved drawings, materials, work methods, and correct sequences.
• Arrange and maintain all records in a traceable manner, including backups of soft forms.
• Coordinate with external laboratories for tests, reports, and related activities.
• Issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) or memos to Site Engineers and sub-contractors regarding deviations, specifying required corrective actions.
• Ensure timely implementation of proper corrective actions to close NCRs and initiate preventive measures as necessary.
• Verify that equipment and materials are properly stored and protected in accordance with contract specifications.
• Report all inspection and test results, along with any deviations, to the QAQC head in a timely manner.

Qualifications and Experience

• 0-1 years of experience in a relevant field.
• Strong understanding of Project Quality Plans (PQP), Inspection and Test Plans (ITP), and quality control procedures.
• Ability to interpret technical specifications, drawings, and method statements.

Work Environment

This full-time position is based in Riyadh, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and involves working on project sites to ensure quality assurance and control standards are met.
