The Role of QC Manager

Inhabit is seeking an experienced QC Manager to lead and oversee Quality Control activities for a major aviation project in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves ensuring compliance with approved requirements, aviation standards, project specifications, and contractual obligations across both the design and construction phases. The QC Manager will also coordinate with the appointed QA company and project stakeholders to maintain a consistent quality management approach throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee Quality Control activities during the design phase, ensuring compliance of deliverables with project requirements, specifications, codes, standards, and aviation regulations.
• Establish and implement design quality control procedures, review workflows, checklists, and quality gates.
• Ensure proper implementation and documentation of design verification, checking, and approval processes.
• Monitor the quality and completeness of design submissions at each project stage.
• Lead and manage the Quality Control team, including discipline-specific QC personnel and inspectors.
• Develop, implement, and maintain the Project Quality Control Plan (PQCP) and related quality procedures.
• Review and monitor ITPs, method statements, inspection requests, checklists, material submittals, and test reports.
• Ensure construction activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, aviation requirements, applicable codes, standards, and contractual obligations.
• Oversee site inspections and verify the quality of materials, workmanship, installations, testing, and commissioning activities.
• Review material submittals, inspection requests, test reports, and technical documentation from a quality perspective.
• Manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), observations, corrective actions, and preventive measures.
• Conduct regular quality audits, site inspections, and performance reviews.
• Coordinate with the Client, Contractor, Designer, and other stakeholders on quality-related matters.
• Monitor the Contractor’s compliance with approved QA/QC procedures and project quality requirements.
• Coordinate with the appointed QA company on quality assurance activities, audits, inspections, reporting, and compliance.
• Ensure proper documentation and traceability of inspection, testing, material approvals, and quality records.
• Monitor quality during testing, commissioning, integrated systems testing, operational readiness, and handover.
• Ensure proper preparation and maintenance of as-built documentation, testing records, O&M manuals, inspection records, and handover dossiers.
• Oversee the closure of punch lists, snagging items, NCRs, and outstanding quality issues.
• Prepare and present quality reports, KPIs, and performance updates to project management.
• Promote a strong quality culture and continuous improvement across the project.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in Quality Control management.
• Demonstrated experience in leading QC activities for both design and construction phases, preferably within aviation projects.
• Strong understanding of quality management systems, procedures, and relevant industry standards.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, focusing on a major aviation project. The role requires close coordination with various project stakeholders and a dedicated QA company.
