Regional Manager

About the Role

Chalhoub Group is seeking a Regional Manager to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position requires 2-5 years of relevant experience and focuses on implementing regional retail goals, objectives, budgets, and commercial targets in alignment with brand strategy.

Role Overview

The Regional Manager is responsible for the management of local retail networks and human capital within their assigned region. This involves direct oversight or management through Regional and Local Retail Teams, with the objective of ensuring excellence in retail performance and achieving commercial targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Set and monitor targets for Area Sales Managers based on key customer segments per store, focusing on average and total purchase value, and product mix.
• Ensure timely distribution and communication of annual and monthly sales targets per store to Area Sales Managers.
• Approve action plans proposed by Area Sales Managers to improve store top-line and gross margin.
• Propose KPIs for store staff line targets to be integrated into the overall Retail’s manageable drivers.
• Approve exceptional commercial discounts to customers within defined thresholds for specific cases.
• Propose top-line and margin targets for the budget of existing stores, ensuring accuracy, achievability, and alignment with management requests.
• Contribute to sell-through and gross margin assumptions for purchase budgets by providing accurate store-specific data.
• Provide accurate assumptions regarding monthly seasonality of turnover per store.
• Ensure new store top-line targets developed during IRR are accurate, achievable, challenging, and meet management requests.
• Monitor the first six months of operations for new stores by establishing monthly target setting and assessment with Area Sales Managers.
• Propose remedial plans for underperforming stores and phasing out plans during store closures.
• Monitor store operations to ensure adherence to Group guidelines and manage shop expenses within budget.
• Ensure Area Sales Managers are properly informed about new product launches or new season collections.
• Organize and participate in Pre-Buying and Post-Buying sessions with the buying team.
• Monitor and minimize stock discrepancies and other variances in stores.
• Validate commission schemes for Store Managers.
• Act as a coordinator between the store network and back-office for smooth execution of activities.
• Ensure smooth coordination with the Buying Team across various stages (Pre-Buying, Buying, Post-Buying, Product launches).
• Provide data and comments to the Regional Marketing Team during marketing plan preparation (*, promotions, in-store activities).
• Assign individual objectives for employee performance management, manage performance, empower the team, and provide formal and informal feedback.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Strong communication skills.
