SAP Basis Technical Consultant

About the Role

Alfanar is seeking an SAP Basis Technical Consultant to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is crucial for ensuring the availability, performance, security, and reliability of SAP systems across all environments through effective Basis administration, monitoring, troubleshooting, upgrades, and technical support.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain SAP systems, including monitoring system health, availability, and performance.
• Manage SAP instances, profiles, parameters, and services, performing regular system checks and troubleshooting for DEV, QA, and PRD environments.
• Configure and manage the SAP Transport Management System (TMS) and oversee transports across DEV, QA, and PRD.
• Perform SAP kernel upgrades, patching, and support SAP upgrades, migrations, and system refreshes, ensuring proper change and release management.
• Monitor SAP application and database performance, analyze work processes, system logs, dumps, and workload, and troubleshoot performance and availability issues.
• Monitor background jobs, RFCs, and interfaces, performing root-cause analysis and resolving technical incidents.
• Manage SAP technical users and access-related issues, supporting SAP security and vulnerability remediation.
• Monitor database and SAP backups, support restore, recovery, and Disaster Recovery (DR) activities, and participate in High Availability (HA) and DR testing.
• Provide technical support for SAP Basis-related issues, coordinate with functional, ABAP, database, network, and infrastructure teams.
• Participate in SAP implementation, migration, and integration projects, maintain technical documentation and operating procedures, and provide technical recommendations, mentoring, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in SAP Basis administration and technical consulting.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role involves working within a technical team and coordinating with various functional and infrastructure teams.
