School Principal

About the Role

Misk Schools is seeking a School Principal for the Boys' Schools in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves providing continuous support to the Director General and Senior Principal across all aspects of school life. The Principal will embody Misk School's vision, leading strategically to ensure its realization, and will build and maintain positive working relationships within the Boys' Schools community.

Key Responsibilities

• Report to the Director General and Senior Principal on school operations and strategic development.
• Establish and maintain high standards of professionalism and integrity.
• Serve as a key member of the school's Executive and Senior Leadership Teams, leading and chairing the Boys' Schools leadership team.
• Support the formulation and development of school aims and objectives, implementing them within the Boys' Schools.
• Deliver Misk Schools' strategic objectives and implement the Misk Schools Development Plan within the Boys' Schools.
• Maintain delegated responsibility for student attainment and progress, as well as the delivery of development plan objectives in the Boys' Schools.
• Commit to ongoing professional development through the Misk Schools Academy.
• Ensure the health, safety, and holistic well-being of all students.
• Focus on staff development and well-being, fostering a culture of learning and achievement.
• Provide leadership and guidance to Vice Principals and Assistant Principals in the Boys' Schools, overseeing systems and processes.
• Develop and maintain quality assurance documents and processes, and implement policies and procedures to achieve school aims.
• Allocate staff resources to support the Boys' Schools in achieving their objectives.
• Implement procedures for accurate collection, analysis, and communication of student progress and attainment.
• Coordinate the whole school calendar and collaborate with the Senior Leadership Team Academic for smooth school operations.
• Undertake direct line management of Vice Principals and Assistant Principals, as agreed with the Senior Principal.
• Support middle leaders with team leadership issues.
• Build a team of teachers committed to high standards and professional development, ensuring attainment and progress targets are met.
• Fulfill teaching responsibilities as required, including delivering classes outside specific subject or age range.
• Support with cover and duty as needed.

Safeguarding Responsibilities

The Principal is required to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people, adhering to school safeguarding policies and the staff code of conduct. This role directly supports the Designated Safeguarding Lead to ensure the safety and well-being of all students.

Required Experience and Qualifications

• 5-10 years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge and understanding of school self-evaluation and development planning.
• Experience in line managing staff members and contributing to staff development.
• Experience in strategic planning and delivery.
• Demonstrated ability as a collaborative leader and team player, capable of decisive management when necessary.
• Confident and effective communicator who can engage staff, pupils, and parents.
• An international perspective with an understanding of the specific needs of students and families living and working in Saudi Arabia.
• A change leader focused on achieving excellence across all aspects of school life, with a drive for continuous improvement and a culture of learning.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, within the Misk Schools Boys' Schools division. The role involves working closely with senior leadership and managing a team of educational professionals.
