About Buildup and the Senior Accountant Role

Buildup is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to lead day-to-day accounting operations for our office in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is central to managing the complete accounting cycle, from initial transaction processing through to finalization, ensuring financial accuracy and regulatory compliance.

Core Responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting operations, including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), bank reconciliations, and month-end closing procedures.
• Prepare comprehensive financial statements and finalize the full accounting cycle.
• Deliver Management Information System (MIS) reports to support informed management decision-making.
• Support project budgeting, cash flow management, and overall financial reporting initiatives.

Regulatory Compliance and Coordination

A key aspect of this role involves ensuring full regulatory compliance across ZATCA, VAT, Corporate Tax, and Zakat requirements. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for handling ZATCA compliance, encompassing VAT returns, Corporate Tax, and Zakat calculations and filings. This includes ensuring strict adherence to Saudi regulations, established accounting standards, and internal control policies, as well as coordinating effectively with external auditors, tax consultants, and relevant regulatory authorities.

Required Experience

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of progressive experience in accounting, with a proven track record in managing full accounting cycles and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Location and Work Type

This is a full-time position based in Buildup's office in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role requires a dedicated presence to effectively manage on-site accounting operations and collaborate with the team.
