About Mnzil and the Role

Mnzil, a rapidly expanding prop-tech company in Saudi Arabia, is seeking a Senior Chief Accountant Associate to join its finance team in Riyadh. This full-time role is central to ensuring reliable financial reporting and strengthening accounting controls as the company continues its growth across the region.

Purpose of the Position

The Senior Chief Accountant Associate will lead day-to-day accounting operations and enhance financial processes. This position is responsible for overseeing all accounting activities, ensuring the accuracy of financial records, and managing month-end and year-end closing procedures. The role involves close collaboration with leadership and cross-functional teams to maintain compliance, improve internal controls, and deliver timely financial insights.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and reconciliations.
• Lead month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial schedules.
• Prepare accurate financial statements and management reports.
• Maintain the chart of accounts and ensure proper transaction classification.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, VAT, ZATCA, and applicable local requirements.
• Manage cash flow reporting and support budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and financial procedures.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, banks, and other stakeholders.
• Support the implementation and improvement of accounting and ERP systems.
• Guide accounting team members and review the quality of their work.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to management.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess over 10 years of progressive experience in accounting, demonstrating a strong understanding of financial reporting and accounting controls. The role requires proven expertise in managing comprehensive accounting operations and ensuring compliance with relevant financial regulations.
