The Opportunity: Senior Civil Engineer

WSP is seeking a highly experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join its team in Riyadh. This full-time role involves working on the construction of a major roads and highways project, providing critical technical oversight and leadership.

Core Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary project teams through the planning, design, and execution phases of infrastructure projects, ensuring alignment with client objectives, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
• Coordinate with stakeholders, including clients, contractors, regulatory authorities, and consultants, to facilitate effective communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
• Provide technical oversight and guidance during construction activities, conducting regular site visits to monitor progress, quality, and compliance with engineering specifications and standards.
• Implement rigorous quality assurance and control measures to uphold construction excellence, identifying and addressing any deviations or discrepancies promptly.
• Review engineering designs, drawings, and technical documentation prepared by internal and external teams for accuracy, feasibility, and compliance with project requirements.
• Provide technical support and guidance to project teams, resolving complex engineering issues and optimizing design solutions to enhance project performance and efficiency.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks related to construction activities, safety hazards, and environmental impacts, implementing proactive measures to minimize potential disruptions.
• Ensure compliance with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations, standards, and best practices, promoting a culture of safety awareness and accountability.
• Cultivate strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and proactively addressing concerns to enhance client satisfaction and foster long-term partnerships.
• Provide regular project updates, progress reports, and technical presentations to clients, demonstrating transparency and professionalism.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on site supervision for road, tunnel, highway, or bridge projects.
• Demonstrated experience in leading multidisciplinary project teams and coordinating with various stakeholders.
• Proven ability to provide technical oversight, conduct site visits, and implement quality assurance measures.
• Experience in reviewing engineering designs and providing effective technical support.
• Strong understanding of risk management principles and health, safety, and environmental compliance.

Work Environment
