The Project and Role

This Senior Commercial Manager (Fit out) position is a part-time role based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, within one of the largest programmes in the region. The project involves a major mixed-use development, including sports, entertainment, and arts facilities, along with associated infrastructure. Mace serves as a delivery partner, requiring experienced professionals to lead integrated teams through various project phases.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide cost and commercial management services to support project completion.
• Lead the cost and commercial team to achieve strategic outcomes.
• Prepare contract documents, warranties, and licenses.
• Manage cost control and reporting, including presenting monthly post-contract cost reports.
• Assess and manage costs for design changes and construction activities.
• Evaluate delay and cost claims.
• Issue certificates for practical completion and final accounts.
• Advise on defect resolution and final certification.
• Guide cost consultants to improve processes and service delivery.
• Actively contribute to net-zero carbon goals by identifying, managing, and reducing emissions throughout project delivery.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Relevant experience within the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region.
• A degree qualification.
• Chartered status or relevant certifications such as MRICS or CIPS.
• Proven experience in the successful construction delivery phase of projects and programmes.
• Ability to meet necessary visa criteria for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
• Relevant work experience on high-value projects/programmes for a project management consultancy business, as required for immigration and client approval.
