Role Overview

The success and sustainability of this giga-project depend on robust strategic supplier partnerships and excellence in supplier relationship management.

We are seeking a Senior Manager – Strategic Supplier Relationship Management to lead and enhance the Strategic Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) function. This full-time senior leadership position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Strategic Purpose

The Senior Manager will be instrumental in elevating the SRM function to greater levels of sophistication and impact within the organization. This role involves overseeing the strategic direction, execution, and continuous improvement of the SRM program, fostering innovation, resilience, and value creation across the supply chain network. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in managing complex supplier ecosystems and driving cross-functional collaboration to realize strategic business outcomes.

Strategic Oversight and Program Management

• Define and champion the enterprise-wide SRM strategy in alignment with corporate objectives and Vision 2030 goals.
• Provide thought leadership on supplier engagement, risk mitigation, and governance frameworks at senior executive levels.
• Drive cultural transformation to embed strategic SRM practices throughout the organization.
• Lead the design, implementation, and evolution of SRM frameworks, policies, and tools to ensure industry best practices.
• Oversee supplier segmentation, risk assessments, performance measurement, and business continuity planning.
• Ensure integration of SRM initiatives with procurement, risk, legal, finance, and operational functions.
• Facilitate executive forums such as Quarterly Business Reviews and SRM steering committees.
• Influence and advise senior leaders to adopt consistent SRM governance models and decision frameworks.
• Champion transparency, accountability, and data-driven decision-making across the supplier ecosystem.
• Drive initiatives that leverage supplier partnerships to deliver cost efficiencies, service excellence, and sustainability benefits.
• Champion ESG and digital transformation efforts aligned with organizational strategy.

Supplier Engagement and Team Leadership

• Develop and maintain executive-level relationships with strategic suppliers to drive innovation and mutual value.
• Guide cross-functional teams in executing joint business plans and strategic initiatives with key suppliers.
• Address complex supplier performance, risk, and compliance issues with balanced leadership.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing SRM team, fostering collaboration and professional growth.
• Promote skill development initiatives and succession planning within the team.

Candidate Requirements

• A minimum of 12 years of relevant experience in strategic supplier relationship management, procurement, supply chain management, or related fields within complex and multinational environments.
• An advanced degree such as an MBA or Master’s in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related discipline is preferred.
• Relevant professional certifications such as CPSM, CSCP, or CPM are highly desirable.
• Proven ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders and suppliers at executive levels.
• Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Experience in giga-projects or large-scale developments is an advantage.
