About the Opportunity

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Senior Manager Transport Planner to join its Transport Planning and Strategic Advisory Business Unit in the Middle East. This full-time position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and requires a professional with extensive experience in transport planning and traffic engineering within the region.

Role Overview

The successful candidate will contribute to a variety of transport planning studies, applying their expertise to large-scale master plans, traffic impact assessments, and multi-disciplinary projects for both public and private sector clients. The role involves a practical understanding of transport planning's significance in development access and citywide mobility initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to various transport planning studies, including large-scale transport master plan assessments, traffic impact studies, and multi-disciplinary planning projects.
• Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of transport planning, traffic engineering, and travel demand theory.
• Apply project experience gained in the Middle East and familiarity with local transport planning standards and practices.
• Possess a practical understanding of the role and importance of transport planning in development access and citywide mobility plans.
• Undertake junction analysis to support traffic impact assessments.
• Contribute to the preparation of reports, including existing conditions analyses, trip generation, junction analysis, and parking assessments.
• Communicate effectively in English, both written and spoken.
• Learn and retain new skills quickly from a variety of sources.
• Work with limited supervision on assigned tasks.
• Possess some experience in project and financial management.
• Assist in growing the Atkins Transport Planning Business and promoting Atkins services generally.

Qualifications and Experience

• Degree-qualified professional.
• Minimum of 15+ years of experience in traffic engineering, transport planning, and traffic modelling.
• Demonstrated project experience specifically within the Middle East.
