About the Role

Alfanar Projects is seeking a Senior Planning Engineer to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time position involves comprehensive responsibility for the establishment, development, alignment, and execution of annual business plans within a designated unit.

Role Purpose and Scope

The Senior Planning Engineer will play a critical role in managing committees, facilitating key meetings, and meticulously tracking performance through various dashboards and reporting mechanisms. This position ensures robust documentation, diligent follow-up on actions, and provides essential insights to support informed decision-making, ultimately driving successful business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in the coordination of annual business planning activities to ensure alignment with technical and operational objectives.
• Translate business goals into detailed, actionable initiatives with defined priorities, responsibilities, and timelines across various functions.
• Support the review of sales, resource, and financial budgets to ensure consistency with overall business plans through data analysis and validation.
• Contribute to business plan sessions by preparing relevant materials and ensuring alignment across technical and non-technical areas.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to set and monitor challenging performance indicators, providing analysis to track progress against set targets.
• Monitor and report on annual plans timelines, milestones, and accuracy, providing insights and flagging any deviations.
• Support business plans by identifying potential issues, providing solutions, and mitigating risks to guarantee plan success.
• Activate committees’ structures and charters, ensuring proper governance and management of cross-functional teams.
• Manage committee meetings, including the preparation of agendas, scheduling, and recording of meeting minutes.
• Track action items from meetings, ensuring the timely execution of tasks and reporting on any pending or overdue actions.
• Develop and maintain dashboards that visualize the progress of business plans, initiatives, and KPIs.
• Analyze key performance metrics and trends, providing actionable insights and recommendations for senior leadership.
• Provide technical tools, dashboards, and reports to committees to monitor the progress and performance of activities.
• Ensure proper management, secure archiving, and compliance of all performance reports, meeting minutes, and related documentation.
• Ensure proper archiving and confidentiality of all business planning documentation while reviewing and enhancing business planning systems and tools.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in planning or a related field.
• Demonstrated ability to manage business planning cycles and performance monitoring.
• Proficiency in developing and maintaining performance dashboards and reports.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
