Senior Quantity Surveyor

About the Role

Marco is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position requires a professional with over 10 years of experience in quantity surveying, focusing on accurate bill of quantities preparation and contract management. The role involves critical support for project operations, procurement, and cost control functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and timely bills of quantities (BOQ) in the required format.
• Identify and report missing or duplicate items in client-provided BOQs to superiors.
• Prioritize and quantify major items and long-lead quotations for inquiries.
• Develop accurate and detailed BOQs at project launch, especially for re-measured contracts.
• Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs and communicate "packages" to the Procurement department.
• Continuously update BOQs based on construction developments, including variations (VOs) and detailed design completion, and disseminate updated quantities to Operations, Procurement, and Cost Control.
• Review and respond to all correspondence concerning payments and variations with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Provide support to the Project Senior Quantity Surveyor in preparing payment applications for the Main Contract.
• Prepare all payment applications and variations for subcontractors and suppliers.
• Gather and verify all data and documents from the site and other departments for main contract payments, variations, and the financial aspects of client claims.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in quantity surveying.
• Demonstrated ability to prepare precise bills of quantities and manage contract variations.
• Strong understanding of construction processes and project lifecycle.

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role involves working closely with various departments, including Operations, Procurement, and Cost Control, to ensure accurate financial tracking and management throughout project lifecycles.
