Role Overview

Almosafer is seeking a Senior Specialist - Product Designer to join its team in Riyadh, focusing on the Digital Consumer Travel experience. This full-time role involves shaping how customers book and manage a diverse range of travel products, including flights, stays, and activities. The Product Designer will work within a cross-functional team of engineers, product managers, and other designers to translate problems and opportunities into impactful experiences. The position requires 3-5 years of experience and a strong understanding of customer needs, business objectives, market trends, and system knowledge.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and understand customer needs, behaviors, and pain points to define opportunities and problem statements.
• Lead and support discovery activities such as user interviews, surveys, and usability tests to uncover customer needs and validate opportunities.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and designers to address customer problems and deliver solutions across web and mobile platforms.
• Consider business needs, technical constraints, data, and platform requirements to produce valuable solutions.
• Translate opportunities into intuitive and effective experiences that deliver customer and business value.
• Produce concepts and prototypes, assessing when further ideation, testing, or changes in direction are needed.
• Conduct experiments to validate assumptions and optimize solutions.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Demonstrated understanding of product strategy and business requirements, with a focus on customer needs.
• Proficiency in design thinking and problem-solving, with a focus on understanding customers, business, and problems.
• Experience planning and conducting research, including interviews, usability tests, and surveys, and integrating insights into the design process.
• Strong communication skills to articulate work and complex concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Excellent visual design skills and proficiency in design, prototyping, and whiteboarding tools (*, Figma, Framer, Miro).
• Experience working with and contributing to a design system.
• Ability to seek and provide constructive feedback, sharing work openly at all stages.
• Experience across the entire product design cycle: UX research, wireframes, prototypes, final design, implementation, and optimization.
• Strong visual design background with knowledge of Google Material Guidelines, Apple Human Interface Guidelines, and design systems.
• Solid understanding and experience in research, including user interviewing, survey setup, usability testing, and result interpretation.
• Basic knowledge and experience leveraging data and analytics to inform design decisions.
• An online portfolio or PDF showcasing up to 3 projects that demonstrate design thinking and impact. Applications without a portfolio will not be considered.
