About the Role

TAWANTECH is seeking a Senior Systematics Support Engineer (ALS) to provide critical operational support for mission-critical Systematics ALS (Asset & Liability System) applications. This full-time position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and focuses on ensuring the availability, stability, and performance of essential banking batch and online processing.

Role Context and Impact

As part of a 24x7 production support organization, the Senior Systematics Support Engineer will play a pivotal role in maintaining uninterrupted banking operations. This involves leading incident resolution, monitoring End-of-Day (EOD) batch processing, troubleshooting complex application issues, and collaborating closely with development, infrastructure, and business teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide Level 2/Level 3 production support for Systematics ALS applications.
• Monitor and support End-of-Day (EOD), Beginning-of-Day (BOD), and scheduled batch processing activities.
• Lead troubleshooting and resolution of complex production incidents affecting Systematics ALS applications.
• Analyze batch failures, job abends, JCL errors, and processing delays to ensure successful business processing.
• Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement permanent corrective actions for recurring issues.
• Monitor application performance, batch execution, and system availability to maintain operational stability.
• Support production deployments, implementation activities, and post-release validation.
• Coordinate with application development, infrastructure, database, and operations teams during production incidents.
• Maintain operational documentation, runbooks, support procedures, and knowledge base articles.
• Participate in disaster recovery exercises, production readiness reviews, and change management activities.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership during major incidents.
• Ensure compliance with operational standards, SLAs, and ITIL best practices.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess a strong background in mainframe production support and Systematics ALS applications, coupled with the following:

• Experience: 6-10+ years in Mainframe Production Support, with a minimum of 4+ years supporting Systematics ALS applications in enterprise banking or financial services environments.
• Technical Skills: Strong hands-on experience with COBOL, JCL, and VSAM.
• Core Competencies: Proficiency in Systematics ALS production support, EOD/BOD batch monitoring, batch scheduling and dependency management, production troubleshooting and root cause analysis, JCL debugging and batch recovery, VSAM file management, mainframe production monitoring, Incident, Problem, and Change Management, and performance monitoring.
• Banking Operations: Experience supporting large-scale banking batch processing and mission-critical production environments.
• Tools: Experience with enterprise job scheduling tools such as Control-M, CA-7, or equivalent.
• Methodologies: Familiarity with ITIL-based production support processes.
• Domain Knowledge (Advantageous): Knowledge of core banking systems and Asset & Liability Management (ALM) processes.

Technical Environment

The role operates within an IBM Mainframe hosting environment, specifically utilizing IBM z/OS.
