Role Overview

DISCOVERED is seeking a Senior UX Designer (Localisation & Arabic UX) to join its team in Riyadh. This full-time position is critical for establishing the gold standard for Arabic player experiences within an international games company. The role focuses on building an Arabic-first localisation capability, with direct ownership over the user experience for Arabic players. It involves designing UI components and UX frameworks that game teams will integrate into their projects to ensure cultural and functional intuition for the MENA market, translating complex linguistic requirements into a practical design system built within Unity.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and create a library of Unity-ready, RTL-compliant UI components that can be readily adopted by game teams to support Arabic.
• Redesign player journeys for existing titles, ensuring that mirroring logic enhances usability for Arabic speakers rather than hindering it.
• Work hands-on within Unity (UGUI / UI Toolkit) to build responsive layouts capable of handling the text expansion and vertical height demands of Arabic fonts.
• Conduct research and establish comprehensive UX guidelines for the MENA region, covering aspects such as iconography, color schemes, navigation patterns, and cultural sensitivities.

Required Experience

• A minimum of 7+ years of UX/UI design experience specifically within the games industry.
• Demonstrated proficiency in implementing UI directly within Unity. Candidates must be comfortable with hands-on work in the engine; this is not a Figma-only design role.

Specialized Skills

• Proven specialization in Arabic UX, including a thorough understanding of layout mirroring and Right-to-Left (RTL) design principles.
• Experience in building or contributing to a cross-project design system.
