About HungerStation and the Senior UX Researcher Role

HungerStation, a part of the Delivery Hero Group, is a pioneering local delivery platform operating in over 70 countries worldwide. Headquartered in Berlin, Germany, Delivery Hero has been listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange since 2017. We are seeking a Senior UX Researcher to join our full-time team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role is crucial for ensuring product decisions are grounded in deep user understanding.

Purpose of the Role

The Senior UX Researcher will be central to uncovering user insights through structured analysis and real-world fieldwork. This position involves planning, conducting, and synthesizing user research across all stages of the product lifecycle, collaborating closely with designers, product managers, and data analysts to translate user stories into actionable outcomes.

Core Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end research initiatives, from defining goals and selecting methods to conducting studies, synthesizing findings, and communicating insights.
Conduct in-field and remote research with real users across Saudi Arabia and the wider MENA region, utilizing methods such as intercept interviews, contextual inquiries, and usability sessions.
Analyze qualitative and quantitative data to identify patterns and trends in user behavior.
Balance qualitative and quantitative methods, including in-depth interviews, diary studies, surveys, analytics deep-dives, and A/B test evaluation.
Document findings thoroughly through structured reports, visual frameworks, and presentation decks that inform design and product decisions.
Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, and analytics teams to ensure research insights are timely, actionable, and measurable.
Advocate for users by clearly communicating insights to stakeholders, translating empathy into impact.
Build scalable research frameworks to enhance consistency, speed, and rigor across the team.

Research Initiatives and Focus Areas

This role involves leading diverse research initiatives, which may include:

Running in-person usability sessions in Riyadh’s busiest malls to test onboarding flows for new users.
Conducting delivery rider shadowing and diary studies to understand post-order experience pain points.
Analyzing survey and app analytics data to uncover churn reasons and improve retention.
Facilitating concept testing workshops with product and design teams to validate early ideas.
Leading feature validation studies for new product launches or key initiatives within our Food, Quick Commerce, or FinTech domains.
Developing deep-dive reports on specific user segments (*, first-time users, loyal customers, or vendors) to guide domain or product strategies.

Candidate Profile and Experience

We are looking for a candidate with 5 to 10 years of experience in UX research. The ideal candidate will be analytical, empathetic, and bold, with a proven ability to uncover user insights and drive product improvements.
