Role Overview

MUAF is seeking a Specialist Research & Development to join its team in Al Kharj, within the Riyadh region. This is a full-time, on-site position suitable for candidates with 0-1 years of experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing garment patterns, evaluating product feasibility, improving garment construction, and supporting new product development from concept through production. The role focuses on pattern engineering, sample development, product analysis, and manufacturing optimization to ensure products meet quality, performance, and production efficiency requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop basic and production-ready patterns for a wide range of garments, including jackets, trousers, shirts, and coveralls.
• Utilize pattern-making software to develop, modify, and optimize digital patterns and garment samples (preferred).
• Create garment patterns from physical samples or design sketches, ensuring accurate interpretation of construction requirements and sewing operations.
• Analyze garment samples and modify patterns to resolve fitting, construction, and performance issues.
• Conduct product engineering studies, including defining sewing operation sequences, calculating standard minute values (SMV), estimating production targets, and determining manpower requirements for production lines.
• Collaborate with design, production, and quality teams to validate product manufacturability and improve production efficiency.
• Support sample development, product testing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation related to product development and manufacturing processes.

This role involves close collaboration with design, production, industrial engineering, and quality teams. The Specialist Research & Development will contribute to developing production-ready garments, optimizing manufacturing processes, and supporting continuous product improvement across the factory's apparel lines.
