The Role of Splunk Engineer

exequt is seeking a Splunk Engineer to design, deploy, and optimize Splunk environments. This full-time role focuses on security monitoring, log management, SIEM, and operational intelligence, requiring close collaboration with SOC, cybersecurity, infrastructure, and network teams. The position is based in Riyadh.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain Splunk Enterprise and its components, including Search Heads, Indexers, Forwarders, and Deployment Servers.
• Manage distributed and clustered environments, indexes, sourcetypes, data retention, and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC).
• Monitor platform health, performance, and availability, and troubleshoot indexing and search-related issues.
• Onboard logs from various security and IT sources, managing forwarders, data inputs, and field extractions on Linux/Unix systems.
• Provide support for Splunk Enterprise Security (ES), including correlation searches, detections, alerts, notable events, and dashboards.
• Support SOC teams with search operations and investigations.
