About the Role

alfanar Electric, part of alfanar Group, is seeking a Sr. Engineer Projects Demand Planning to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time role involves supporting project execution through precise demand forecasting and material requirement coordination, ensuring seamless alignment between engineering inputs and supply chain planning. The Senior Engineer will monitor demand trends and collaborate with various teams to guarantee timely resource availability for both ongoing and upcoming projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed demand forecasts based on project schedules, engineering specifications, and historical consumption data.
• Analyze forecast accuracy and adjust plans to accommodate changes in project scope or timelines.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineering teams, and procurement to validate material and resource requirements.
• Align demand planning activities with project milestones to prevent delays or shortages.
• Convert demand forecasts into actionable material planning steps and follow up with procurement and warehouse teams.
• Track material availability and escalate potential delays to ensure continuous project progress.
• Maintain updated records of demand forecasts, material plans, and actual usage for each project.
• Generate regular reports on forecast accuracy, material readiness, and planning performance.
• Identify gaps in the demand planning process and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Support the implementation of planning tools and systems related to project-based forecasting.
• Coordinate with engineering, production, and logistics teams to validate material readiness and planning assumptions.
• Communicate forecast updates, deviations, and risks to relevant stakeholders in a timely manner.

General Accountabilities

• Perform planned activities to meet operational and development targets according to delivery schedules.
• Utilize resources effectively to achieve objectives within efficient cost and time parameters.
• Provide periodic reports detailing deviations and the execution of planned tasks.
• Address and resolve related problems, escalating complex operational issues as necessary.
• Ensure quality requirements are met to develop effective quality control and processes, including specifications for products, processes, or related activities.
• Coordinate well-defined written systems, policies, and procedures, seeking automation opportunities where possible.
• Comply with relevant policies, procedures, and work instructions.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental management procedures and controls within the defined area of work activity.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 6 to 10 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to acquire updated soft and technical skills pertinent to the job role.
