About the Role

W Hotels is seeking a Supervisor Banquet Operations to join the team in Riyadh. This full-time position is integral to ensuring the seamless execution of banquet events, maintaining high service standards, and leading a dedicated team. The role requires a professional with 5-10 years of experience, including at least one year in a supervisory capacity.

Key Operational Responsibilities

• Oversee the setup of banquet areas and rooms, ensuring cleanliness, proper arrangement of furniture, and functionality of equipment.
• Inspect and maintain table setups for cleanliness, neatness, and adherence to group requirements and company standards, resolving any issues promptly.
• Communicate effectively with guests, other employees, and departments to ensure all guest needs are anticipated and met.
• Respond to and facilitate special banquet event arrangements as requested.
• Document pertinent operational information in the appropriate department logbook.

Team Leadership and Guest Experience

• Ensure staff collaboration and teamwork to achieve common goals.
• Inspect staff grooming and attire, addressing any deficiencies to maintain professional appearance standards.
• Assist management with various aspects of employee relations, including hiring, training, scheduling, evaluation, counseling, discipline, motivation, and coaching.
• Foster positive working relationships within the team and across departments.
• Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, proactively addressing service needs and assisting individuals with disabilities.
• Maintain professional communication, including clear language and appropriate telephone etiquette.

Operational Standards and Compliance

• Adhere to all company, safety, and security policies and procedures, reporting accidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions to management.
• Complete all required safety training and certifications.
• Ensure personal appearance and uniform are clean and professional.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
• Ensure consistent adherence to quality expectations and service standards.

Qualifications and Experience

• High school diploma or *** equivalent.
• A minimum of 5-10 years of overall work experience.
• At least 1 year of related work experience in banquet operations or a similar field.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience.

Physical Demands

The role requires the ability to perform various physical tasks, including:

• Standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods or an entire work shift.
• Moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing up to 50 pounds independently, and objects exceeding 75 pounds with assistance.
• Grasping, turning, and manipulating objects of varying sizes and weights, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
• Navigating sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces, as well as stairs and service ramps.
• Reaching overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
