Account Manager Role Overview

Thunes is seeking an Account Manager to join the team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role focuses on new customer acquisition across the KSA market. The Account Manager will be responsible for driving sales targets and will be involved in the end-to-end execution of business development initiatives, working closely with C-suite executives to finalize deals. The position requires 2-5 years of experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and execute the overall sales and business development plan for KSA.
• Manage the end-to-end sales cycle, including lead generation, managing live accounts, and closing deals with C-suite involvement.
• Develop and manage strategic partnerships with PSPs, Acquirers, Banks, and other financial institutions.
• Support customer requests and identify new opportunities to add value.
• Ensure effective communication and internal coordination for new service rollouts, considering market specifics like regulation and competition.
• Attend tradeshows, source leads, follow sales processes, and report to the sales management team.
• Complete all required reporting within specified timeframes, utilizing CRM tools accurately.
• Provide timely feedback to the line manager regarding performance, sales activity, account management, and strategy.
• Ensure account retention, contractual health, and client satisfaction.
• Maintain strong links between customers and back-office services to facilitate communication and issue resolution.
• Identify industry trends through research of events and announcements.
• Communicate customer needs effectively to the support team.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• 3+ years of business development experience in the Money Transfer or Mobile Financial Services Industry.
• Proven hands-on, driven B2B sales experience within the fintech/payments sector.
• Results-oriented with strong communication, organizational, and negotiation skills.
• Excellent networking abilities.
• Proficiency in CRM tools; Salesforce CRM knowledge is an advantage.
• Flexible, self-motivated, disciplined, and takes ownership of tasks.
• Team-oriented, adaptable to change.
• Strong understanding of customer, market dynamics, and requirements.
• Ability to build effective working relationships with clients, partners, third parties, and internal colleagues.
• Strong sense of initiative and capability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
