The Role of Accountant

Saudi Icon Company is seeking an Accountant to join its finance team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves performing day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping tasks, ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions. The Accountant will support the Chief Accountant and contribute to the overall efficiency of the finance function within a dynamic and growing organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Record day-to-day financial transactions accurately in the accounting system.
• Process accounts payable, including verifying and posting supplier invoices for payment.
• Process accounts receivable, including issuing invoices and following up on collections.
• Prepare bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Assist in preparing journal entries and supporting schedules for month-end closing.
• Maintain organized and accurate filing of financial documents and records.
• Support the preparation of Zakat, VAT, and other regulatory filings.
• Assist with fixed asset tracking and inventory reconciliations.
• Support internal and external audit requests by providing required documentation.
• Perform any other job-related duties or tasks assigned by the direct manager, as required by business needs.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience in an accounting role.
• Demonstrated ability to perform day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping tasks.
• Proficiency in financial transaction recording and reconciliation processes.
