Role Overview

Bayut KSA is seeking a full-time Accountant to join its team in Riyadh. This role, designated as a Junior Accountant position, is central to supporting regional operations. The focus areas include Cost Analysis, Accounts Payable, Expense Recognition, Fixed Asset Management, and Month-End reporting. The position requires a professional with 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage General Ledger (G/L) accounts to ensure consistent cost allocations.
• Execute the monthly accrual process.
• Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment.
• Respond to vendor inquiries.
• Reconcile vendor statements, investigate, and correct discrepancies.
• Assist in month-end closing procedures.
• Post transactions to ledgers and other financial records.
• Reconcile accounts payable transactions.
• Prepare analyses of accounts.
• Ensure compliance with Group accounting policies in transaction processing.
• Oversee transaction posting in the Accounts Payable area and resolve any related issues.
• Provide timely and relevant internal management reporting and performance analysis.
• Undertake intercompany posting and reconciliations.
• Assist in preparing required tax returns.
• Actively participate in improving internal processes.
• Update the fixed asset registry and Capital Expenditure reporting.
• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations to investigate variances, liaise with business units to resolve, initiate corrective actions, and follow up on outstanding issues.
• Provide backup assistance for other team members and support various ad-hoc finance projects.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess 2-5 years of experience in an accounting role. A background that includes exposure to cost analysis, accounts payable, expense recognition, fixed asset management, and month-end reporting processes is essential for this position.
