About Bayut KSA and the Opportunity

Bayut KSA, a leading property portal in the Kingdom, connects millions of users across Saudi Arabia and is committed to delivering a superior online search experience. As part of Dubizzle Group, Bayut operates alongside 10 strong classifieds brands, collectively serving over 200 million monthly users. We are seeking a Junior Accountant to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, for a full-time position.

Role Purpose

The Junior Accountant will provide essential financial support to regional operations. This role focuses on key areas including cost analysis, accounts payable management, expense recognition, fixed asset management, and comprehensive month-end reporting processes, ensuring adherence to group accounting policies.

Key Responsibilities

Manage General Ledger accounts to ensure consistent cost allocations.
Oversee the monthly accrual process.
Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment.
Respond to all vendor inquiries and resolve issues.
Reconcile vendor statements, research, and correct discrepancies.
Assist in month-end closing procedures.
Post transactions accurately to ledgers and other financial records.
Reconcile accounts payable transactions.
Prepare detailed analysis of accounts.
Ensure compliance with Group accounting policies in all transaction processing.
Oversee transaction posting in the Accounts Payable area and resolve any related issues.
Provide timely and relevant internal management reporting and performance analysis.
Undertake intercompany posting and reconciliations.
Assist in preparing required tax returns.
Actively participate in improving internal financial processes.
Update the fixed asset registry and Capital Expenditure reporting.
Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations, investigate variances, liaise with the business to resolve issues, initiate corrective actions, and follow up on outstanding items.
Provide backup assistance for other team members and support various ad-hoc finance projects and duties.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this Junior Accountant role should possess 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in accounting or a related financial field. A strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, particularly in accounts payable, fixed assets, and month-end closing, is essential for success in this position.
