About the Role

Tamkeen Human Resource (THR) is seeking an Accounting Supervisor - VAT, WHT, Zakat Compliance to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role focuses on ensuring comprehensive tax compliance and accurate financial reporting in accordance with Saudi regulations and international standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the preparation and submission of VAT, Withholding Tax (WHT), and Zakat returns to the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA).
  • Ensure strict compliance with Saudi tax regulations, International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and statutory reporting requirements.
  • Lead and coordinate ZATCA audits, inspections, assessments, and tax reviews.
  • Stay informed about changes in tax laws and assess their potential impact on business operations.
  • Prepare Zakat computations, declarations, and all necessary supporting schedules.
  • Review General Ledger (GL) transactions and tax reconciliations to ensure accuracy in reporting.
  • Coordinate with various internal departments to ensure data accuracy and completeness for tax purposes.
  • Reconcile tax accounts and investigate any identified discrepancies.
  • Develop and enhance tax compliance controls and procedures.
  • Respond to inquiries from tax authorities and coordinate audit requirements.
  • Advise management on tax compliance risks and opportunities for improvement.
  • Support Local Content reporting and compliance requirements.
  • Coordinate with internal departments and external consultants as needed.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities related to tax matters.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 to 8 years of experience in accounting, tax compliance, or financial reporting.
  • Strong experience with VAT, Withholding Tax, Zakat, and Local Content reporting.
  • Hands-on experience dealing with ZATCA audits, inspections, and assessments.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and Saudi tax regulations.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
