About the AI Product Owner Role

Embelo is seeking an AI Product Owner for a full-time international project assignment in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role is central to a significant enterprise AI transformation initiative for the largest bank in Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in delivering six major AI transformation projects, focusing on building self-contained agentic AI systems on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. This position requires 5-10 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

The AI Product Owner will operate at the intersection of business, technology, and delivery, translating strategic objectives into executable roadmaps. Responsibilities include:

• Owning prioritization and delivery accountability across multiple AI transformation workstreams.
• Translating strategic business objectives into clear, sequenced AI product roadmaps.
• Building, maintaining, and prioritizing product backlogs across multiple technical projects.
• Working directly with senior stakeholders to define desired business outcomes, requirements, and priorities.
• Translating business needs into actionable requirements for AI, data, and engineering teams.
• Partnering with AI Engineers, Data Engineers, and architects to sequence technical delivery.
• Making clear prioritization and trade-off decisions across competing requirements and workstreams.
• Identifying and actively managing dependencies across the six AI initiatives.
• Driving requirements definition where the business problem or technical solution is evolving.
• Maintaining visibility of delivery progress, risks, dependencies, decisions, and blockers.
• Establishing effective delivery and product governance across a complex multi-project program.
• Ensuring technical solutions remain aligned to measurable business outcomes.
• Leading and facilitating senior stakeholder workshops, planning sessions, and program decision-making.
• Working across incomplete information and evolving scope, bringing structure and clarity to delivery.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess a strong background in product ownership within complex enterprise environments, demonstrating both commercial acumen and technical fluency. Required qualifications include:

• Significant experience (5-10 years) as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or transformation delivery lead within complex enterprise environments.
• Experience delivering AI, data, technology, or digital transformation programs.
• Strong technical fluency in agentic AI, LLM deployment, and modern AI architecture.
• Ability to understand technical dependencies and sequence AI and data delivery effectively.
• Strong product backlog management, roadmap development, and requirements-writing capability.
• Experience working directly with engineering, architecture, and data teams.
• Demonstrated ability to engage, challenge, and influence senior stakeholders within large organizations.
• Strong commercial judgment and the ability to balance value, scope, complexity, and delivery constraints.
• Experience managing delivery across several concurrent projects or workstreams.
• Confidence operating where requirements are incomplete, ambiguous, or rapidly evolving.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder-management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Additional experience that would be beneficial for this role includes:

• Previous Product Ownership experience across AI or data transformation programs.
• Banking or financial services experience.
• Experience working within highly regulated enterprise environments.
• Understanding of enterprise AI governance and responsible AI.
• Experience establishing governance across large, multi-project programs.
• Exposure to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure or cloud-based AI programs.
• Middle East or Saudi market experience.

Working Environment and Project Context

Embelo is an AI consultancy specializing in strategy, transformation, engineering, and data expertise. The AI Product Owner will work alongside senior consultants, AI engineers, architects, and data specialists, gaining exposure to client leadership and influencing program development. This role offers an opportunity to shape enterprise-scale AI adoption, moving beyond experimentation to integrate technology into core organizational operations. Compensation and Assignment Details

This is an international project assignment based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In addition to salary, Embelo will cover accommodation and agreed living expenses in Riyadh. The assignment also includes one return trip home per month and a 10% project completion bonus.
