About the Role

Systems Limited is seeking an AI Strategy Consultant to join our team in Riyadh. This full-time role involves advising clients on the strategic application of AI, including the development of roadmaps, operating model designs, and use-case prioritization. The consultant will be responsible for transforming client ambitions into fundable and sequenced plans, requiring 5-10 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

Lead AI maturity assessments using structured diagnostic frameworks, evaluating capability, data, and technology readiness.
Develop multi-horizon AI roadmaps (12/24/36-month) that sequence use cases based on value, feasibility, and dependencies.
Design AI operating models, including Centers of Excellence (CoE) structures, hub-and-spoke or federated models, and funding/chargeback mechanisms.
Conduct structured use-case discovery workshops and apply frameworks such as RICE or value-effort matrices for portfolio scoring and prioritization.
Establish AI value-realization frameworks, defining KPIs, baseline metrics, and post-deployment tracking methodologies.
Manage the AI Portfolio, overseeing stage-gating and reallocation of investment across the use-case pipeline.
Facilitate C-suite and board-level workshops to ensure alignment on AI ambition and risk appetite.
Develop and own the AI adoption and change-management plan at the portfolio level.
Manage competing executive priorities and facilitate consensus among business-unit leaders.
Coach client sponsors on effectively championing AI initiatives internally.

Qualifications and Experience

8–15+ years of experience in strategy or management consulting, with at least 3 years specifically in AI or digital transformation.
Working technical fluency in AI/ML architectures, various model types, and data requirements.
Proficiency in portfolio prioritization and value-scoring frameworks, such as RICE or weighted-value matrices.
Experience in designing AI operating models, governance charters, and funding/chargeback mechanisms.
Familiarity with AI maturity models and capability diagnostic frameworks.
Ability to review technical architecture documents and Proof of Concept (PoC) results to validate assumptions.
Working knowledge of enterprise AI/agentic platforms for build-vs-buy guidance, including Microsoft Azure AI Foundry, AWS Bedrock, and Google Vertex AI. Awareness of the open-source ecosystem (LangChain, Hugging Face) is beneficial.

Strong narrative and storytelling abilities to transform roadmaps into compelling, fundable business cases.
Political acumen to navigate competing stakeholder agendas and maintain project momentum.
Comfort with ambiguity, structuring complex transformation mandates into sequenced plans.
Coaching and advisory presence to build trust with senior client sponsors over extended periods.
Strong written communication skills for producing board-ready documents under tight deadlines.

Performance Metrics

Success in this role will be measured by the quality and adoption of delivered roadmaps (indicated by sign-off and follow-on funding), the percentage of prioritized use cases reaching delivery, and executive satisfaction post-engagement.
