The Role of AI Tech Lead

Lucidya is seeking an AI Tech Lead to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time, senior hands-on engineering position responsible for the quality, reliability, and technical direction of the AI layer within Lucidya's agentic platform. The role requires leadership in setting technical standards for a team of AI engineers while also contributing directly to production code.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and manage the AI architecture and harness, including model selection, prompting patterns, retrieval design, guardrails, and voice pipeline.
• Document technical decisions with clear rationale.
• Define evaluation standards and transition key work from experimentation to production.
• Implement leading testing frameworks for Agentic development.
• Ensure production monitoring and online evaluations detect quality drops, hallucinations, and latency spikes proactively.
• Lead the AI team in the design, development, and delivery of the Agentic Platform.
• Mentor AI engineers, enhance technical standards through pairing and feedback, and contribute to hiring processes.
• Lead debugging efforts for critical production incidents related to AI behavior.
• Manage the development of prototypes and experiments to validate new capabilities, such as new models, agent patterns, or voice features.
• Collaborate with the Product team to translate customer use cases into technical requirements.
• Partner with the Engineering team on shared platform initiatives, including tool calling, workflows, deployment, and scaling.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in AI engineering and technical leadership.
