About the Role

CES - MATLAB® in the Middle East is seeking an Application Engineer (Saudization) to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves working with innovative companies across various industries, including aerospace/defense, oil/gas, communications, automation, and machinery. The Application Engineer will contribute to the marketing and sales of MathWorks’ engineering products, focusing on MATLAB and Simulink.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in developing components of software product models and simulations to demonstrate the use of MathWorks’ MATLAB and Simulink products.
• Develop components of technical engineering demonstrations for MathWorks’ Simulink and MATLAB products to support sales activities.
• Support senior team members in engagements with prospective and existing customers to understand their workflows and identify relevant MathWorks engineering solutions.
• Develop application examples and simulations to illustrate how MathWorks engineering software addresses customer needs.

Daily Activities

• Engage technically with customers to understand project requirements and workflows, then recommend MathWorks technical capabilities.
• Prepare and deliver technical presentations and demonstrate application examples through onsite visits, seminars, and other channels.
• Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop strategies for different accounts and markets.
• Conduct in-depth technical engagements with customers evaluating MathWorks products.
• Provide technical support to customers using MATLAB, Simulink, and the entire suite of MathWorks products.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess 2-5 years of relevant experience and demonstrate expertise in the following areas:

• Model-based design using MATLAB and Simulink tools, including modeling, simulating, and analyzing design, testing, and deployment workflows for control design and automation applications across industries such as automotive, aerospace, and robotics.
• Supporting customers with engineering data analysis workflows using MATLAB and Simulink.
• Developing and delivering technical product demonstrations to customers and assessing product marketing strategy.
