About the Role

Exquitech Group is seeking an Application Operations Specialist to join their team in Riyadh, Riyadh. This full-time role involves performing day-to-day design and operations for critical applications, ensuring their health, reliability, and availability within the organization. The specialist will contribute to maintaining robust application services and improving operational efficiency.

Job Purpose

The primary purpose of this role is to manage and maintain the operational integrity of critical applications. This includes conducting daily health checks, participating in change management reviews, and automating operational tasks where feasible to enhance system performance and stability.

• Perform day-to-day design and operations for critical and important applications.
• Conduct daily application health checks.
• Participate in Change Advisory Board (CAB) reviews.
• Execute post-change application checks.
• Automate operational tasks where possible.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage multiple applications to ensure scalable, reliable, and available systems.
• Participate in designing and developing application operations strategies, interacting with application owners and users.
• Provide input into the design of monitoring for in-scope applications.
• Understand and apply IAM, PAM, and Cyber rules to applications.
• Provide technical support and feedback to application and development teams.
• Conduct analysis to identify trends in application use.
• Develop application availability dashboards and contribute to uptime statistics for SLA reporting.
• Champion the creation of proper documentation for application deployment, cold starts, and critical services.
• Monitor application usage for adoption and improvement.
• Build relationships with internal customers to understand application usage.
• Develop and maintain technology service, technical standards, and process documents for Application services.
• Participate in root cause analysis and resolution of issues affecting reliability and downtime of IT/OT services.
• Develop and plan maintenance activities for applications.
• Contribute to the Knowledge System and share knowledge within the first-line support team.
• Manage ongoing technology delivery to service level agreements.
• Recommend cost savings and efficiencies.
• Be proactive in learning and pursuing certifications.
• Champion process automation, including scripting and using automation tools like Ansible.
• Write code in PowerShell, Visual Basic, JavaScript, Python, C#, HTML, HTML5, or ASP.
• Develop and enhance system usage efficiency.
• Maintain software and system updates.
• Assist with patch planning, deployment, and system restarts.
• Learn from outages to improve processes and application uptime.

Required Experience and Qualifications

Candidates should possess 2-5 years of relevant experience, demonstrating a strong background in application operations and support within complex environments.

• 3+ years of experience working in a large company or with a government entity.
• Experience with Microsoft Active Directory and its use in delivering applications.
• Experience with Software Development frameworks and methodologies.
• Experience with OT and/or Manufacturing is a plus.

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Riyadh, focusing on supporting critical organizational applications within a dynamic operational setting.
