About the Role

Alfanar Projects is seeking a full-time Assistant Accountant to join our team in Riyadh. This role is integral to supporting various financial activities, including the preparation of financial statements, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with established accounting standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date general ledger accounts and processing journal entries for all business transactions.
Support the reconciliation of accounts payable and receivable to ensure accuracy.
Contribute to the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Help with the preparation of budget forecasts, variance analysis, and year-end financial reports.
Perform monthly account reconciliations and investigate and resolve discrepancies in financial data.
Support compliance with internal policies, accounting principles (GAAP or IFRS), and tax laws, assisting with internal and external audits.
Assist with the invoicing process, ensuring accurate billing to clients and proper payment processing.
Monitor accounts payable for timely payments to vendors and suppliers, and accounts receivable for timely collections from customers.
Assist management in analyzing financial data and performance to support informed decision-making.
Help monitor and track expenses to ensure adherence to budget and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Perform other accounting-related duties as assigned by the Finance Manager or Controller.

Qualifications and Experience

0-1 years of experience in an accounting or finance-related role.

Strong foundational understanding of accounting standards and regulations (*, GAAP or IFRS).
Demonstrated ability to maintain accurate financial records and perform reconciliations.
Analytical skills for financial data review and variance analysis.
