ASSISTANT CONSULTANT PEDIATRIC CARDIOLOGY

About the Role

King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre in Riyadh is seeking an Assistant Consultant, Pediatric Cardiology. This full-time position involves assisting in the provision of specialized medical care within the field of pediatric cardiology and supervising interns and residents. The role operates in accordance with current medical staff bylaws, rules, regulations, and hospital policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist Consultants in delivering patient care and management in pediatric cardiology, adhering to KFSH&RC (Gen. Org.) medical care standards.
• Conduct patient assessments, examinations, and compile case histories, supporting diagnosis and management as per diagnostic criteria.
• Document detailed medical histories, perform physical examinations, and develop patient management plans for discussion with Consultants. Record Consultant orders, progress notes, and other necessary outpatient documents.
• Provide rotational on-call coverage for the specialty during evenings, nights, weekends, and public holidays.
• Prepare for and participate in Consultant and Specialist ward rounds, documenting findings in medical records.
• Participate in outpatient clinic patient reviews, follow up on investigation results, and adjust treatment plans as required.
• Perform other assigned clinical responsibilities.

Academic and Professional Development

• Provide orientation, bedside training, and supervision to interns, residents, and fellows as assigned.
• Stay informed of the latest techniques and developments in pediatric cardiology, implementing relevant advancements to enhance technical standards.
• Contribute to the Department's educational activities and training programs.
• Participate in national and international medical conferences.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this role should possess 0-1 years of relevant experience, demonstrating a foundational understanding and practical application in pediatric cardiology.
