About the Role

Elm Company is seeking an Associate Principal Business Audit to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is central to supporting and contributing to the planning and execution of Business Audit activities. The position focuses on defining audit strategies, assessing strategic, operational, and financial risks, and providing independent assurance on corporate processes.

Role Purpose and Impact

The Associate Principal Business Audit delivers value through insightful analysis, practical recommendations, and effective follow-up on audit observations. This is crucial for enhancing governance, risk management, and control effectiveness across the organization. The role ensures audit plans are aligned with organizational priorities and address key operational and financial risk areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the definition of Business Audit strategy and annual audit plans related to corporate activities.
• Contribute to risk-based audit planning, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and addressing key operational and financial risk areas.
• Analyze and evaluate strategic risks related to operational and financial activities, identifying key risk exposures.
• Assess the adequacy of controls in place and support continuous risk assessment to inform audit focus areas.
• Provide assurance services over operational and financial processes to evaluate effectiveness and compliance.
• Assess process design, control effectiveness, and adherence to policies and procedures, identifying gaps, weaknesses, and improvement opportunities.

Financial Analysis and Recommendations

• Analyze quarterly and annual financial statements as part of audit engagements.
• Assess the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of financial information, identifying financial reporting risks and control issues.
• Develop clear, practical audit recommendations to address identified issues.
• Engage with management to discuss findings, root causes, and improvement actions, supporting their understanding of audit outcomes and risk implications.

Monitoring and Compliance

• Monitor the timely implementation of corrective actions related to financial and operational audit observations.
• Track remediation progress and validate the closure of audit findings, escalating overdue or high-risk issues as required.
• Adhere to all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions.
• Comply with all relevant safety, quality, environmental management, and information security policies, procedures, and controls.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate for this full-time position will possess 5-10 years of experience in business audit or a closely related field. A strong understanding of audit strategies, risk assessment methodologies, and financial analysis is essential for success in this role at Elm Company.
