The Role of Barista

The Barista will support the daily operations of the Calo Cafe, working closely with the Cafe Manager to ensure adherence to company standards. This full-time position requires a professional with coffee knowledge and strong interpersonal skills to maintain and enhance customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare coffee beverages according to established recipes.
Ensure the functionality of brewing equipment and report any issues.
Attend to customer orders and preferences with a positive and professional approach.
Represent Calo's culture and values in all customer interactions.
Ensure timely cafe operations that meet quality standards.
Address and resolve any operational issues effectively.
Comply with and enforce sanitation regulations and safety standards.
Maintain a positive and professional demeanor with colleagues.

Candidate Qualifications

Must be a Saudi National.
Must currently reside in Saudi Arabia.
Minimum of 1 year of previous experience as a Barista in cafes.
Possession of a certified Barista certificate.
Proficiency in English communication.

Required Knowledge and Skills

Adequate knowledge of coffee and various coffee mixtures.
Ability to differentiate coffee aromas and tastes.
Extensive hands-on experience with professional coffee machines.
Strong communication and leadership skills.
Understanding of useful computer programs and the ability to learn new software.
Effective communication skills, particularly in written form.
