About WePay and the Internship

WePay is developing an escrow platform to facilitate secure digital transactions across Saudi Arabia, aiming to build trust between buyers and sellers. This Business Development COOP Internship is a full-time, university-required placement based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and is unpaid. It offers an opportunity to contribute to the future of escrow payments within the Fintech industry.

Role Overview

As a Business Development COOP Intern, you will support WePay’s growth by identifying potential business opportunities, cultivating relationships with companies, and introducing them to WePay’s products and services. You will work closely with the Business Development team, gaining practical experience in business development, partnerships, client communication, market research, and relationship management within the Fintech sector. The role is suited for an ambitious, confident, and people-oriented individual.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and research potential companies, partners, and business opportunities relevant to WePay.
• Initiate contact with companies and potential partners to introduce WePay and communicate the value of its products and services.
• Support the development and management of business relationships and potential partnerships.
• Participate in meetings and presentations with prospective partners, representing WePay professionally.
• Follow up with prospective partners and maintain clear, professional communication throughout the engagement process.
• Assist in preparing company presentations, proposals, partnership materials, and other business development documents.
• Conduct market research to identify new opportunities, relevant industries, and potential partners.
• Participate in networking events, business meetings, and field visits as required.
• Maintain organized records of prospects, meetings, opportunities, and follow-up activities.
• Collaborate with internal teams to support partnership opportunities and contribute ideas for WePay’s growth.

Required Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Management, or a related field.
• Ability to commit to a full-time, 6-month internship.
• Comfortable communicating and presenting WePay’s products and services to companies and various stakeholders.
• Proactive, outgoing, and confident in initiating conversations and building professional relationships.
• Previous experience in Business Development, Sales, Partnerships, or a related field is preferred.
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, and adapt to a fast-paced startup environment.

Work Environment and Commitment

This is a full-time internship requiring a 6-month commitment, located in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role operates within a fast-paced startup environment, where adaptability and initiative are valued.
