Chief Accountant

About the Role

The National Parcel Stations Network is seeking a Chief Accountant to join their team in Riyadh, Riyadh Province. This full-time role involves overseeing the accounting department, developing financial strategies, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The Chief Accountant will play a key role in assisting company leadership with strategic planning and making investment decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting functions, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Treasury, Fixed Assets, month-end accruals, and provisions.
• Manage year-end and month-end closing processes and prepare monthly financial statements.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end management financial reports.
• Review and approve all payment transactions, such as reimbursements, payments on account, vouchers, and checks.
• Liaise with external government institutions and serve as the primary contact for internal and external audits.
• Respond to all queries related to financial matters.
• Recommend and draft financial and accounting policies and procedures, ensuring the accounting manual is up-to-date and adhered to.
• Review and approve journal vouchers, and investigate and correct errors in financial entries and reports.
• Coordinate accurate and timely payments to suppliers.
• Prepare yearly budgets and administer all balance sheet account reconciliations.
• Act as the point of contact for queries related to employee and supplier payments.
• Review accounts payable and weekly check runs.
• Determine proper handling of financial transactions and approve transactions within designated limits.
• Compile and analyze financial information for general ledger accounts, cost centers, and business transactions.
• Distribute financial statements and cost center reports.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance.
• Demonstrated ability to manage financial reporting, consolidation, and financial analysis processes.
