ECEC East Consulting Engineering Company is seeking a Chief Accountant to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is integral to maintaining the financial integrity and operational efficiency of the company.

The Role of Chief Accountant

The Chief Accountant will be responsible for recording financial transactions and providing essential support to the Finance Director. This role involves reviewing financial reports, overseeing company accounts, managing tax declarations, and monitoring bank accounts and cash flow. The primary objective is to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial operations across a variety of accounting tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Review, analyze, and validate all financial reports and statements.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with established accounting standards.
• Ensure the accuracy and completeness of company accounts.
• Prepare and submit periodic tax declarations in compliance with local regulations.
• Liaise with tax advisors and ensure timely fulfillment of tax obligations.
• Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and explanations.
• Monitor bank accounts, including reconciliations, fund transfers, and transaction tracking.
• Manage and forecast company cash flow to support liquidity planning.
• Oversee daily accounting operations, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.
• Supervise and guide other accountants in performing their duties.
• Recommend and implement improvements to accounting processes and systems.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial data.
• Handle other finance-related tasks as assigned by the Finance Director or CFO.
• Cover and carry out the accounting responsibilities of team members during their leave.

Required Experience

Candidates for this Chief Accountant position must possess over 10 years of relevant accounting experience. A strong understanding of financial reporting standards, tax regulations, and accounting best practices is essential for success in this role.

Location and Work Type

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, contributing directly to the financial operations of ECEC East Consulting Engineering Company.
