About BeOnd and the Chief Pilot Role

BeOnd is establishing itself as the world's first premium leisure airline, operating an all-lie-flat Airbus fleet. The company is currently setting up new Air Operator Certificates (AOCs) in key regions, including Saudi Arabia. We are seeking a Chief Pilot for our Saudi Arabia AOC, which operates under the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA), to be based full-time in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Role Context and Reporting Structure

This position is a required management role as per GACAR Part **** The Chief Pilot is appointed by, and reports directly to, the Director of Operations. The successful candidate must demonstrate the experience, competence, and knowledge necessary to be acceptable to GACA (the President), ensuring full compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Own flight-crew professional standards, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and crew standardisation.
• Oversee line operations, the check-airman programme, and ensure crew currency and competence.
• Manage flight-crew discipline, provide mentoring, and drive continuous improvement of operating practices.
• Support the Director of Operations and deputise on operational matters as required.
• Interface directly with GACA on flight-crew standards and related regulatory matters.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

• Hold an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate with appropriate ratings for at least one aircraft type used in the operation (GACAR ********
• Possess at least 3 years' experience within the past 6 years as Pilot in Command (PIC) of a Part 121 aircraft, specifically for a first-time Chief Pilot (GACAR ***********
• Demonstrate a full understanding of the GACAR, the operations specifications, applicable airworthiness requirements, and the operations manual (GACAR ******, (g)).
• Be acceptable to GACA (the President) based on comprehensive experience, competence, and knowledge.

Desirable Skills and Background

• Experience with the Airbus A320/A321 family of aircraft.
• A strong track record in SOP development and crew standardisation.

Work Location

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, supporting BeOnd's operations within the region.
