About the Civil Inspector Role

HanmiGlobal MENA is seeking a dedicated Civil Inspector to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position involves supporting the planning, implementation, and inspection phases of civil engineering projects. The role requires a strong foundation in civil engineering principles and practical experience in construction site inspection, materials testing, and ensuring adherence to project specifications and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

Perform on-site inspections of construction activities to ensure compliance with engineering plans, specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards.
Assist in reviewing construction drawings, blueprints, and project documentation.
Monitor contractor performance and verify work progress.
Document daily activities, prepare inspection reports, and communicate findings to senior engineers.
Ensure materials and workmanship meet required standards and approved procedures.
Report and follow up on any non-conformities or issues identified during inspections.
Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and internal teams to resolve technical issues.
Support testing and commissioning activities as required.
Maintain up-to-date records and logs related to project inspections and compliance.

Required Qualifications

A Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
Alternatively, a Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience.

Essential Skills and Competencies

Strong understanding of civil engineering and construction practices.
Familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Good communication and reporting skills.
Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction management software is considered a plus.
