About the Role

King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Center (KFSH) in Riyadh is seeking a Clinical Engineer I, specializing in Analytical, Imaging & Instrumentation. This full-time role involves providing essential operational and technical support for a wide range of medical, diagnostic, therapeutic, and analytical devices and systems used in patient healthcare and research. The successful candidate will serve as a designated technical specialist for assigned medical and research technology, ensuring its optimal performance and compliance with standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform technical support duties for assigned medical and research technology.
• Provide scheduled preventive maintenance for assigned medical equipment, adhering to manufacturer’s guidelines.
• Execute medical and research technology operational support duties, including pre-acquisition analysis, site preparation, implementation, ongoing support analysis, and technology retirement.
• Train and guide Medical, Nursing, Clinical Engineer II’s, Clinical Engineering Technicians, SCDP participants, Student Interns, and other Clinical Engineering staff on the technical support of complex medical and research technology through informal on-the-job or formal classroom training.
• Act as a technical knowledge source for assigned medical and research technology.
• Ensure medical and research equipment meets all technical support requirements by vendors and complies with relevant KFSHRC standards prior to purchase.
• Provide and/or coordinate medical equipment user education and instruction.
• Maintain competency in the Clinical Engineering medical technology database and other related computer software programs.
• Participate in Hospital committees as assigned.
• Adhere to all Hospital policies and procedures.
• Participate in self and others' education, training, and development.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess 2-5 years of relevant experience in clinical engineering or a related field. The role requires a strong technical background in supporting medical, diagnostic, therapeutic, and analytical devices and systems.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in technical support and maintenance of medical and research technology.
• Ability to follow manufacturer's guidelines for repair and preventive maintenance.
• Strong analytical skills for pre-acquisition analysis and ongoing operational support.
• Competence in training and guiding staff on complex medical technology.
• Familiarity with medical technology databases and related software.
• Excellent communication and instructional skills for user education.
