Consultant Adult Endocrinology

About the Role

Bupa Arabia is seeking a Consultant Adult Endocrinology to provide specialized care within the ICC physical clinic in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This part-time, in-person role focuses on evaluating, diagnosing, and managing a broad range of hormonal and metabolic disorders. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of experience in the field.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive, in-person endocrinology care during scheduled part-time clinic sessions, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and follow-up for acute and chronic endocrine conditions.
• Conduct comprehensive clinical evaluations, including history taking, physical examination, and review of relevant laboratory and imaging findings.
• Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based management plans, including medication and insulin management, lifestyle interventions, and referrals.
• Manage common endocrinology conditions such as type 1 and type 2 diabetes mellitus, thyroid disorders, metabolic bone disease, and pituitary and adrenal disorders.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, including dietetics, ophthalmology, and podiatry, to deliver integrated, patient-centered care.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) to support seamless handover and continuity of care.
• Promote metabolic and hormonal health through preventive counseling, diabetes screening, and chronic disease management.

Quality Assurance and Compliance

• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and caregivers, providing clear guidance on diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow-up care.
• Ensure compliance with clinical, ethical, and regulatory standards, maintaining accurate and complete medical documentation.
• Maintain current knowledge of evidence-based endocrinology practice and in-clinic regulations through continuous professional development.
• Contribute to clinical governance by participating in quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, and regulatory compliance programs.

• Continuously enhance clinical knowledge in endocrinology and best practices.
• Participate in relevant conferences, workshops, and continuing medical education (CME) activities.
• Integrate the latest clinical evidence into practice to improve the quality, safety, and effectiveness of patient care.

• Identify, report, and escalate patient safety risks, incidents, and quality concerns.

Collaboration and EHR Proficiency

• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated, patient-centered care and optimize clinical outcomes.
• Provide clinical expertise and recommendations to support evidence-based decision-making and integrated care planning.
• Demonstrate proficiency in the clinic’s EHR system to ensure efficient, high-quality, and well-documented consultations.
• Mentor and support junior physicians and healthcare professionals through clinical guidance and knowledge sharing.
